keydvr496.exe Download this file only for newer XP,Vista or Winows 7 (approx. 5.8 Mbytes)to get the latest key driver ver.4.96. You may need to uninstall the current key driver first using the key driver setup in the P-Sea WindPlot program group. (Note: If you get an error message "Can't create output file" then run the key install program again but this time un-check the "Overwrite files without prompting" and do not copy over the file that gave the error message.)
If you do not see the "Key Driver Setup" program, then you can uninstall the driver by clicking on "START" then "RUN" and enter in the following: "C:\PC-PLOTT\HINSTALL.EXE -r -kp" (without the quotes and a space before the -r -kp) Then reinstall by clicking on "START" then "RUN" and enter in the following: "C:\PC-PLOTT\HINSTALL.EXE -i -kp".


If the above key driver fails then try the following downloads:
HASP4_driver_setup.zip for Vista. This is the new key drivers for VISTA, XP and Windows 2000 Be sure to unplug the key, reboot the computer and be sure WindPlot is not running before running the HDD32.EXE key driver installation program.
HASP_HL_driver_setup.zip If the key is still not working then download this and run the hard lock driver and try again

If the drivers do not work then uninstall the driver by clicking on "START" then "RUN" and enter in the following: "C:\PC-PLOTT\HINSTALL.EXE -r -kp" (without the quotes and a space before the -r -kp) Then reinstall by clicking on "START" then "RUN" and enter in the following: "C:\PC-PLOTT\HINSTALL.EXE -i -kp".

Then, if all that fails try installing the key diagnostic program:
AKSDIAG.EXE Download this file so that it can be used to install a program that will test if a key is working or not.

If you are running WindPlot in multiple directories then look at the number of the key on the back of your computer. For key numbers smaller than 3000, you will need to copy the file NVWGC16.DLL in your PC-PLOTT directory to your WINDOWS/SYSTEM DIRECTORY to get all programs to see the key.

If it still does not see the key, reboot the computer and try to run WindPlot again. If you still get the error run the P-Sea Key Setup again and use the "Check Key Status" button or type in HINSTALL in the RUN menu without the -I to verify you have version 4.65(4.96) installed. If not, repeat the above procedure again until you get version 4.65(or 4.96) installed.
